Good Beyond Beauty
Who doesn’t want a good beauty brand that makes products that work whilst also being ethical?
Here at Yoga Local we love our organic and natural products – from the coffee we brew to the essential oils we sell. One thing we believe to be very important is what you use on your skin! Tropic is a skincare brand that Josie has been working with for years now which she loves because of the meaning behind the brand as well as the wonders it works for your skin.
Our friends and neighbours at Shire Fit have recognised an often overlooked but really important aspect of gym training – recovery! Which is why they’ve teamed up with us here at Yoga Local to power a new RCVR class at both their Wellingborough and Corby gyms. Our Maz is delivering the Yoga inspired sessions […]
GET IT ON, BANG A GONG Introducing the latest addition to our studio! The Mercury Paiste Planetary Gong. It looks as if it was meant for the place don’t you think? (Which of course it was!) A lucky few were the first to hear it played in our special Yoga Gong and Sound session on […]
2018 is Your Year to Be Yogi
Let’s get something ‘yoga-plank’ straight. You can be a super-flexy hippy if that’s your thing but if it’s not, hear me out when I say being a yogi ain’t that. Forget that. New thinking required here. If you’re with me, it will change everything. You with me?
Happy days. So, if that’s not who you have to be to be yogi. What is?
Ok…here it comes.
FIVE ‘easy-to-implement’ actions you can do right away.
What happens when you really want or expect something and (for whatever reason) it doesn’t happen? Maybe you had a situation like that recently? Let’s see if you can relate and if you can, prepare to take care of your SELF as if you’re life depends on it.. let’s go.
Greetings yogi lovely. How’s your energy today?
You ever question why some days you wake up like a frickin Duracell bunny and rock a whole day with energy left to burn. Others you get to breakfast, clean your teeth and you’re done already? Maybe you’re done before that. :Hands In Head:
Not to worry my yogi friend. I’m here to tell you Yoga and its sister science, Ayurveda, has some answers but first here are three things to wrap your head around. Take a deep yoga breath…it’s a little heady.
Let’s hand out some red flags. Get waving them at me if you are:
- Feeling either unpleasantly plump or dangerously preskeletal.
- Ravenous at times, off your food at others.
- Lying awake at night, thoughts racing.
- Tired all the time.
- Racked with aches and pains.
- Accident and injury prone.
- Forgetting easy stuff like names, birthdays, the day of the week.
Almost no one ever tells you should exercise LESS but if you’re waving that red flag at me right now, this yogi is.
Now I know what it means to not listen to advice. I also know what happens when you ignore the wisdom of your body. So, before you dismiss this course of action as outright lunacy, please read my story. It’s all here, alongside some yogi tools to reclaim balance and enhance your hormonal health.
Plus, I’ll share why being less active can sometimes actually help improve athletic performance. It’s all about listening to your body folks. Come with me. It’s time to tune in and tune up.
1. Anything is possible. (Law of Pure Potential) Have you ever told yourself any of the following? I’m not good enough, flexible enough, loveable enough, talented enough, young enough, been doing it enough? Enough is enough. Time to check out the first of Deepak’s Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. This one is all about exploring…
Perfect Health Graduates February 2015 And probably not so perfect post…..oh well. Seems odd that during the last stretch of teacher training for Deepak’s Perfect Health programme, one lesson to really learn was – ‘don’t try to be so perfect’. Let me explain. It’s February 16, 2015 and I’m back in La La Chopra…
