Yoga For Integration
The message of Yoga is that you are connected and whole, that separateness is an illusion. Therefore, we need to go beyond our current ways of thinking to practice Yoga in it’s completeness.
As you go deeper into the tradition and all its many beautiful practices you will be challenged – not to be more flexible in your body – but more flexible with your worldview. The way you see, perceive, and interpret your environment, your space, and your place on this planet.
We only have our five senses to figure out all the stuff of the world – and science says they can only pick up on 1 per cent of what’s ‘out there’. Mind boggling, but true.
Go Beyond With Yoga
How do we go beyond that 1 per cent!? We direct our torch light inward and practice Yoga – in its completeness!
My challenge is that most folks rock up at this studio and because of their conditioning and the poor P.R job the western yoga industry is doing – making you expect to be distracted, entertained and moved (preferably vigorously).
But I’ve done enough work personally to know, I’m not here to feed your imbalances. You are already distracted enough, overworked enough, busy enough, going fast enough. Your strategies to cope with life’s struggles are already to numb it with something else, avoid it, or strive and strain against it.
It’s not a strategy that works long- term and there is no meaning or purpose to it.
There are better ways, more efficient ways, more powerful ways to become stronger and capable than that.
So, I’m constantly challenged – to give you what you need, and not necessarily what you expect (or think you want). I have to go beyond.
And so do you.
If we are to truly evolve and grow – that’s the deal.
