Your most valuable Christmas gift EVER is right this way.

Come on in and unwrap your freebie.

I’ll jump right in and say it. It’s the end of November and life’s about to get even busier, crazier and more pressured. Agreed?

And, that my yogi friend will make it soooo much harder for you to put your health and wellbeing first. I get that – we all want to have a good time at Christmas and it’s a huge pressure not to fall in with the crowd and think to hell with it, I’ll go along for the ride until January.

But here’s the question. Is it what you want?

Christmas is coming. Deal with it! Your yogi strategy.

Get your yogi mindset here.

Yep, we are officially in the rapids that are hurtling us towards Christmas and New Year, question is will you sink or will you swim? Ho Ho Ho… yeah, I know, not the most positive of seasons’ greetings (especially coming from a yogi). But let’s not kid ourselves…this time of year can be a STRESSSS FESSST.

Whether you’ll ride the yule tide rapids and reach calmer water has little to do with if you’ve got the buoyancy aid or a lifesavers’ certificate and everything to do with the answer to this question.

 Have you got the mindset?

Let’s go see.

Get your spark back strategy

Ward off winter woes and be super resilient into spring

Seems appropriate to throw some fireworks into this week’s blog with a question.

Here it is…

Have you lost your sparkle?

If you have, through illness, fatigue, stress, or any other cause, you’ll recognise the symptoms.

  1. Maybe you’re not exactly having the time of your life.
  2. You probably have little energy, feel tired all the time.
  3. You’ve stopped doing all the crazy stuff you used to love doing or when you do, it’s not so effortless as it was.
  4. You feel like you’re not winning at life.
  5. You’re not showing up or performing at your best.
  6. You’ve got used to simply going through the motions.

This is not a good picture, agreed?

A Yogi Guide To Riding Seasonal Tides…

…and how to better weather life’s storms – (called Brian or otherwise) 😉

Choice is your super power, it’s your ticket to getting what you want out of life.

But this week, I come to you with a teeny tiny yogi observation…aka WARNING.

What gives you your power, can also slap you back in the face with a huge dose of responsibility, confusion and doubt.

Will you make the right choice? What if you don’t? Eeek.

Yoga for if you’ve not used ‘it’, lost ‘it’ – and want ‘it’ back – thank you very much.

Your health is just too important to lose…isn’t it?

When people say to me they ‘don’t do yoga’ because they’re not ‘flexible’ it tells me two things.

  1. They lost something super valuable (flexibility).
  2. They’re ok with it (they don’t do yoga).

These are both heart-breaking truths that drive me crazy.

Seriously, if you lost £50 you’d at least go look for it, right? Flexibility though?  ‘Meh – oh well.  ‘Easy come, easy go.’ ‘Strength, don’t need it any more’. ‘Balance, over-rated commodity – I’ll pass’.

Come on…really?

The ONE essential yogi ingredient for creating the life you want.

“Established in yoga, perform action.”

On days when nothing goes your way, when you feel powerless, when you think life’s throwing you under the proverbial bus – you could be forgiven for thinking you’d had no say in any of it. But guess what, you did.

Urghh, don’t hate me.  I get that you might not bet taking this as good news, but it is.  It’s a VERY good thing.

Think about it. As unsavoury as it is to think to yourself ‘well, that’s another fine mess I got me into’, it at least acknowledges that you always had a say on some level – and we all want freedom to choose, yes?

YES JOSIE! 😉

There’s more this way…

Instantly meet your needs and derail stress from the comfort of your yoga mat

FIVE ‘easy-to-implement’ actions you can do right away.

What happens when you really want or expect something and (for whatever reason) it doesn’t happen? Maybe you had a situation like that recently? Let’s see if you can relate and if you can, prepare to take care of your SELF as if you’re life depends on it.. let’s go.

3 yogi things to know for energy, flow and mojo.

Greetings yogi lovely. How’s your energy today?

You ever question why some days you wake up like a frickin Duracell bunny and rock a whole day with energy left to burn. Others you get to breakfast, clean your teeth and you’re done already? Maybe you’re done before that. :Hands In Head:

Not to worry my yogi friend. I’m here to tell you Yoga and its sister science, Ayurveda, has some answers but first here are three things to wrap your head around. Take a deep yoga breath…it’s a little heady.

The ONE healthy yogi habit every ‘gotta get it done’ finisher needs

Are you set on what’s at the end of your rainbow? Why it’s good to decide, not to decide.

Hello! I’m getting ‘back to it’ after a short summer break. You ‘at it’ too?

Getting stuff done is good, yes? You get to say I achieved something, tick the box, get the medal, praise, pat on the back or whatever it is.

“Move on, neeeeeeexxt.” Is that a success mantra you were fed on? Sat writing this, I think it was mine. Did it work for me…? Mostly I guess, but I’ve been turning the idea over for a few days, and the result of these musings is what I want to share with you.

So take a minute from your next to do, please… and stay with me for the one healthy yogi habit every finisher needs. 😉

Five ingredients for a healthy hormone balancing yoga practice

You asked: What does yoga have to do with hormonal health?

Yogi chickadee, if you are of a certain age it won’t be much of a surprise that between the ages of 35 and 50 us girls experience our worst psychological wellbeing due to hormone issues. Hands up if that’s you. Mine’s up there too.

What’s happening here?  Let’s take a quick lesson in biology.

Hormones are chemical messengers that are jettisoned into your body by your endocrine system. And get this… they influence:

  • Your emotions
  • How you eat
  • How you fight off illness
  • Your reproductive cycle
  • Your sleep cycles
  • Your behaviour
  • How you react to stress

With a mindful lifestyle and a regular yoga practice you can help prevent hormones from hijacking your health, wellbeing, love life, the whole ‘shebang’.

What to know more? Of course. Come with me.
