Yoga is for fit people.

Yoga is chanting.

Yoga is something trendy people do. Yoga is not for me!

All of these thoughts and more were in my head as I walked through the door of Yoga Local…

What a transformation!

Phewwee. Yoga Local has officially arrived in its bricks and mortar home at Unit 5 Nene Court, The Embankment, Wellingborough after an incredible 3-day launch.  

Did it..! 👏 😅

Hard to believe in 5 short weeks we’ve transformed this…into… (go on take a look and see for yourself).

Yoga Local the studio is about to be birthed!

I’m going for a natural delivery (no forceps, drug intervention) but I guess much like childbirth, I’ll have little say and at the very least it’ll be painful and require a lot of deep breathing. (Pranayama is my friend). 😉

And when am I expecting? Err around June time. But again the Law of Detachment (letting go) says hold on to the vision, but don’t be fixed on the outcome. I won’t if you won’t.

As a practice of union, Yoga has got me to slow down and step out of speed cycle that was at times addictive, restless and unhealthy. 🤒

Now I get that the more we take on, the more difficult it is to get off our speed mills. Life just gets fuller and fuller and you just have to keep running to keep up. 🏃🏻‍♀️ And the more we run, the more we lose our way.
We deplete our inner resources (our bodies) and our external resources (the planet).

Summer is almost done, the holidays are nearly over, and the kids are going back to school (or in my case flying the nest!) Life can get back to a ‘normal’ routine. But will that routine include something for your Self?

If you’re currently telling yourself that you’ll do yoga, “if” you have time you almost certainly won’t have time, right? I know it, so do you. (I’m a tough love kind of girl)…☺️😍

So instead, get still, breath and make a conscious choice. Ask, do you want to make time for your Self?

Hey it’s me, Josie…👋 I may be taking a little cheeky time off from teaching class, but I’ve been busy. Phew!!! 😅

Yep, I’ve been planning programmes for Autumn/Winter 2018/19 and the dates are up. So, avoid a holiday fitness and self-care hangover and get into your calendar now to ring-fence your mat time right from September 2018 right into February 2019…(I know – super organised. Get me!). 👍

I’m not really saying that to crow… this is all for you. You can be super organised too…what are you waiting for? I believe our future Self is ours to co-create in every moment. 😉 Let’s get to it.
